The company operates in the leather sector since 1920 and develops a range of skills that in 1992 are transferred to the Ferretti & Melia srl by the two partners Fulvio Ferretti and Paolo Melia.
Since 1992 the Agency activity with leather warehouse knows a continuous growth. This thanks also to the entrance in the Company of Paolo’s sons, who died suddenly in 2003.
Claudio, Daniela and Davide Melia widened Company horizons in a changing environment and carry on the family business, now called Melia Rappresentanze srl.
The agency activity with leather warehouse, is done mainly for domestic tanneries, but in the last 15 years, includes also international tanneries, in line with the markets’ globalization.
The Melia Rappresentanze S.r.l operates as leather Agency of selling on warrants issued by Italian tanneries (mainly located in Tuscany, Veneto and Campania) and International (in Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and China). The warehouse is about 1000 mq.
The Company placed on the market the products of these tanneries, taking a role of intermediary between them and the manufacturer of shoes, bags and accessories in leather. More specifically they deal with:
– the acquisition and management of purchase orders,
– the storage of the ordered goods in the warehouse,
– the delivery to the customers of the ordered leathers,
– the administrative management of collections.
The main skill of “Melia Rappresentanze srl” is giving the same importance to both the relationship with the tanneries and with the manufacturers of shoes and leather goods, aiming at the full satisfaction of the needs of both.
This enables it to be present simultaneously in different markets and to offer a high quality services to both companies.
The reference area of the Company is the Campania region and the sectors in which it operates are shoes and leather goods (bags, belts, wallets, etc …).
The products offered are tanned leathers for shoes and leather goods, of different quality, which varies according to the fashion of the moment.
Thanks to an activity of constant research, during the sampling phases, new and updated articles are proposed together with tanneries.

Moreover, they propose a wide range of chemical products for the finishing of leathers, soles and shoes.
More particularly, the products treated are: creams and waxes, dyes, glues, brighteners for nubuck and suede, shoe polish, softening and other special products, to increase the value of the leather with the final touch of finishing.
